Sky Ski Matrix C3 Super Lightweight 7lb Carbon Fiber Board

You’ve been waiting for it, and its finally here: At a mere 7 lbs, the all new Super Lightweight Sky Ski board; the Matrix C3.

This is the next Generation of Lightweight boards brought to you by Comptech Marine / Sky Ski. In 2004 Sky Ski pioneered an Asymmetrical Rear Weight Biased Laminate Schedule that would provide strength where you need it, while eliminating weight where its not needed, drastically reducing the swing weight of the board while in the air. This laminate schedule alone has allowed our production boards to come down from over 14 lbs to under 11 lbs.

The Matrix C3 utilizes this very same Asymmetrical Laminate schedule including Carbon Fiber and other all new cutting edge materials used in Formula 1 Race cars combined with Comptech Marine’s all new Featherlite Core Technology to give you an event winning board.

The Matrix C3 Board is the culmination of over 2 years of successful research and development, sourcing innovative materials, experimenting with different methods of contsruction & prototyping boards. With team riders seeing over 12 months of solid, hard riding without failures has allowed us to go into production of the absolute lightest, strongest board available today.

THE SEAT TOWER

Evolution “Bones” Seat Tower

Evolution “Bones” Seat Tower is the latest development in strong, lightweight seat tower design, and yet this seat tower takes it even further than it’s predecessor, the Skeleton Tower. Strengthened at the leading edge of the footprint where the majority of the stress is, the Bones Tower will take all you can dish out. With over an inch of travel at the center of the seat plate, this tower has a rock solid feel on take-off, and can still take the edge off the hard impact of landing those huge airs. Also new for the Evolution Tower, the seat plates have been turned inside out showing off the “Bones” of the seat tower!

Comes assembled & complete with carbon fiber seat plate, seat belt & swivels. Weighs 8.1lbs

 

THE T-BAR

RS Aero 41″ T-bar

CNC machined from super strong & lightweight 7000 series aluminum, this t-bar features the longest strut Sky Ski has ever made. It can be ridden at either 39” or 41”. And that’s just the beginning! This strut is a completely new shape, and is the only one of it’s kind in the sit-down hydrofoil market. It is a true “Aero” shape, and has absolutely NO drag at all. The leading edge of the strut is extremely dull & blunt, while the back half of the strut is cupped. This all new shape reduces drag, and makes it less susceptible to riding differently in different bodies, and different temperatures of water. Also features a sleek, streamlined fuselage with a reduced keel, 5 hole front fuselage and a 4 hole rear fuselage for more adjustment moving your rear wing. The level of performance this t-bar delivers is un-paralleled, and must be experienced to be believed!! Weighs in at 10.5 lbs.

 

THE WINGS

Apex Front Wing

The Apex wing is here! Based on our proven Max-Air wing the Apex wing is the largest wing in our line-up with a wingspan of 20″, and a wing depth of 12″. With the stability & responsiveness that only a Sky Ski wing can deliver, the Apex with is the only wing you’ll want to ride if you want to be launched into the stratosphere!

 

Aero Rear Wing

The Aero Rear Wing features a 12.5″ wingspan which makes it a little more stable than the Fling Rear Wing. The Aero virtually eliminates inadvertent “relaunch” on landings yet still has good, quick re-flight for some of your best, smoothest landings ever. The more rounded wingtips also make this wing a little more durable than the Fling Wing.

 

THE SEAT BELT

Double Locking Seat Belt

This is not the same Double Locking Belt we started off with so many years ago, it has been completely revised with only the best materials and workmanship! Comfortable & easy to use, this belt features:

  • Heavy duty 2″ webbing
  • Marine rated hook & loop material
  • CNC Machined aluminum D-ring, anodized red
  • Box & cross-stitched at all pressure & wear points
  • Tabs on the end of the belt leads so they won’t pull back through the mounts
  • Each lead a different color so its easy to tell which is which in the water
  • Removable Pad so you can adjust/move it for the best fit
  • Rubber top sheet w/ molded Sky Ski Logo

*Please Note: If you are over a size 34″ waist you will need a belt extension with this seat belt. It adds approximately 7″ of belt.

I have been riding sit down hydrofoils for a long time, since the summer 1990. I was hooked. I never had such an amazing feeling of flight and freedom as what the hydrofoil brings. Over the years, as the equipment got better, I have felt similar feelings and rekindlings of my love for hydrofoiling. The G-38 was another one of those moments. SkySki is now in a league of their own with this new RS Aero T-bar. I was riding the Answer 38 t-bar for the last 7 years and that is a great t-bar, but since getting the new Aero t-bar it has been a total game changer for me, the air I am getting now is so big I probably should have an oxygen mask and the landings are super smooth and soft. There is absolutely no drag at all and that makes all the difference. If you are looking to take your riding to the next level this is the bar for you!

Loving the Aero! Its taken a bit to get used to this whole set up. The lite board combined with the zero drag strut makes it pretty lively but the more I ride it the more I love it!
